Grazie a tutti di essere venuti sabato 11 ottobre all’Auditorium del MAXXI, grazie al MAXXI di averci invitato in una giornata particolarmente significativa per l’arte contemporanea, la giornata nazionale AMACI e grazie ai relatori di aver accettato di prendere parte a questa presentazione, specialmente quelli arrivati dalla Turchia.
AlbumArte, ha portato Margherita in residenza d’artista a Istanbul, a Palazzo Venezia, sede ufficiale dell’Ambasciatore d’Italia in Turchia, da lì la mostra all’Istituto Italiano di Cultura e l’opera che vi hanno raccontato nel talk e della quale il libro fa parte.
Ogni residenza è speciale per noi e per gli artisti, ma la residenza di Margherita è stata ancora più speciale fin dalle prime ore: infatti è arrivata a Istanbul il giorno stesso dell’inizio della protesta di Gazy Park a Piazza Taksim. Di questo si è parlato al MAXXI sabato.
A nome di AlbumArte e della nostra direttrice artistica e curatrice del progetto, Maria Rosa Sossai, vorrei ringraziare tutte le persone che hanno collaborato con le loro testimonianze alla stesura di questo libro insieme alle persone che più hanno sostenuto il nostro progetto e cioè: Anna Mattirolo, Margherita Guccione, Pippo Ciorra e tutto lo staff del MAXXI, l’ambasciatore d’Italia in Turchia Gianpaolo Scarante e sua moglie Barbara che ci hanno ospitato con grande generosità a Istanbul, la direttrice dell’Istituto di Cultura di Istanbul Maria Luisa Scolari che ha co-prodotto tutto il progetto, Giorgio Fasol con la sua fondazione AgiVerona Collection che ci ha supportato nella produzione dell’istallazione e Cataldo Colella che con la sua Visioni Future ha prodotto il libro che abbiamo presentato.
Voglio aggiungere che l’ambasciatore d’Italia in Turchia, non è potuto essere con noi sabato, non potendo lasciare una situazione fortemente tesa, che rende il nostro dibattito e i temi del nostro libro, drammaticamente attuali, ma ci ha mandato una lettera nella quale esprime tutta la sua ammirazione e la sua soddisfazione nel vedere il progetto di Istanbul arrivare nella maggiore istituzione italiana dell’arte e dell’architettura contemporanea.
Grazie Margherita di aver prodotto un’opera così interessante, che, come detto da Hou Hanrou sabato al talk, sarà presto presentata nelle sale del Museo.

Thank you for coming Saturday, October 11 to Auditorium of the MAXXI, National Museum of XXI Century Arts, thanks so much to MAXXI for inviting us in a day of particular importance for contemporary art, the National Day AMACI and thanks to the speakers for agreeing to take part in this presentation, especially the people who came from Turkey.
AlbumArte, invited Margherita Moscardini for an artist-in-residence in Istanbul, at Palazzo Venezia, the official abode of the Ambassador of Italy in Turkey, and to do her exhibition at the Italian Institute of Culture by the work that you have told in this talk and of which the book belongs.
Each artist’s residency is special for us and for the artists, but the residency of Margherita was even more special since the early hours: in fact she arrived in Istanbul the same day wich started the protest of Gazy Park at Taksim Square. This was discussed at the MAXXI Saturday.
On behalf of AlbumArte and our Artistic Director and curator of the project, Maria Rosa Sossai, I would like to thank to the people who have worked by their testimonies to the writing of this book, along with the people that have supported our project: Anna Mattirolo, Margherita Guccione, Pippo Ciorra and all the staff of the MAXXI Museum, the Ambassador of Italy in Turkey Gianpaolo Scarante and his wife Barbara who hosted us with great generosity in Istanbul, the director of the Italian Institute of Culture of Istanbul Maria Luisa Scolari, she co-produced the entire project, Giorgio Fasol with its foundation AgiVerona Collection who supported us in the production of the installation and Cataldo Colella that, with his association Visioni Future, produced the book that we have presented.
I want to add that the Italian ambassador in Turkey, it is not able to be with us Saturday, unable to leave a situation very tense, which makes our debate and the themes of our book, dramatically present, but sent us a letter in which expresses his admiration and satisfaction in seeing the project to arrive in Istanbul larger institution Italian contemporary art and architecture.
Thank you Margherita for having produced a work so interesting, that, as Hou Hanrou said Saturday during the talk, it will soon be presented in the Museum.
