Lýdia Pribišová

Lýdia Pribišová is born in 1980 in Bratislava (Slovak Republic). She is a curator and an art historian. From 2006 she is editor and from 2013 she is managing editor for Flash Art Czech & Slovak Edition. In 2013, she is also project coordinator for transit.sk (www.tranzit.org). In 2012 she founded the no-profit association Pilot. From 2013 she cooperates with the Kunsthalle of Bratislava. She’s member of the Slovak AICA, of the Viafiarini curatorial Committee (Milan) and of the White House Biennal curatorial Committee (Athens). In 2007 and in 2011 she co-curated the Prague Biennial’s Slovak section, organized by Helena Kontova and Giancarlo Politi. She regularly writes for international specialist magazines such as Flash Art, Artribune, LuxFlux and Vlna. In 2013 she has achieved a PhD at “La Sapienza” University of Rome, with a thesis entitled La Quadriennale di Roma Dall’Ente autonomo alla Fondazione. Una riflessione sulla trasformazione, under the coordination of the professor Simonetta Lux. In 2010 she was awarded from Lemmermann Foundation for her search. Internationally, she worked with institutions and art galleries; some of them in Italy are: MAXXI Museum (Rome), MACRO Museum (Rome), MLAC- Museo Laboratorio d’arte Contemporanea (Rome), AlbumArte (Rome), Exelettrofonica (Roma), Gallery Apart (Rome), Studio Stefania Miscetti (Rome), Studio Trisorio (Rome and Naples), Viafarini (Milan). Instead, abroad: Kunsthalle (Athens, Greece), Museum of Art, Cluj (Napoca, Romania), Muse Festival, Günter Grass Gallery (Gdansk, Poland), Larm Gallery (Copenhagen, Denmark), OI Futuro (Rio De Janeiro, Brazil), SIC! Luzern (Switzerland), Museo dell’Arte Contemporanea (Novi Sad, Serbia), and Kunsthalle Bratislava, Space, Hit Gallery, Medium Gallery, Šamorín synagogue (Slovak). She is the co-founder of an online gallery of immaterial art called Evolution de l’art.
