Cristiana Perrella

Cristiana Perrella (Rome, 1965). Curator and art critic, in 2018 she appointed new Director of the Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci. Between 1998 and 2008 she directed the Contemporary Arts Program of the British School at Rome. From 2007 to 2009, she founded “SACS-Sportello per l’Arte Contemporanea in Sicilia”, an agency for the promotion and development of young art at RISO – Museum of Contemporary Art of Sicily. From 2009 to 2017 she has been the art curator of Fondazione Golinelli, in Bologna, where she delivered a series of exhibitions focused on the relationship between art and science. She was one of the curators of the last edition of the Quadriennale di Roma, in 2016. As an independent curator she collaborated with Italian and international institutions, such as MAXXI and Fondazione Prada. She taught “Phenomenology of Contemporary Art” at University of Chieti (2004-2010) and at IED in Rome (2013-2017). She wrote and edited several critical texts and monograph, among others Francesco Vezzoli published by Rizzoli International in 2016. Since 2015, she is part of the Scientific Commitee of AlbumArte.
