Caterina Sammartino (Rome, 1997), graduate in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts, is a co-founder of the Artist-Run Space CONDOTTO48. Her recent exhibitions include: The Sun at Its Zenith, ERA Gallery, Milano (2024); Shaping grace and disquiet, ERA Gallery, Milano (2024); L’Ombra Lunga, Palazzo Rospigliosi, Zagarolo (2024); RESENTI, Palazzo Lucarini, Trevi (2023); Botanica, EDDart, Roma (2022); VII Biennale di Viterbo Arte Contemporanea, Viterbo (2022); Materia Nova – Roma nuove generazioni a confronto, Galleria d’Arte Moderna di Roma (2021). In her research she prefers to use the installation, using natural origins materials as well as old everyday objects, reconnecting them with the space, using hemp, cotton and performances with a strong symbolic and relational sense.
