On March 9th, 2019 at 7pm AlbumArte will inaugurate the first of five appointments of the new series of screenings of artistic films and videos AlbumArte | VideoArtForum, all of which will be held at Albumarte’s exhibition space in Via Flaminia (Rome).
Debora Vrizzi is the protagonist of the first appointment; the video-forum will be introduced by the curator Bruno Di Marino.

Performer and filmmaker, Debora Vrizzi has always worked with moving images, photography and body, in order to stage a reflection on personal and collective identity, sometimes through semi-narrative structures, other times through symbolic-conceptual structures, in others slipping towards the documentation of the real and autobiography.

During the event, the artist will presents some of her most representative video works in conversation with the curator and historian of the moving image Bruno Di Marino, who since 1989 deals in particular with audiovisual experimentation.

Since 2016, AlbumArte | VideoArtForum – directed by Cristina Cobianchi and coordinated by Valentina Fiore – presented Italian and international artists and curators both from Italy and aborad. The project confirms the ongoing interest of AlbumArte in the field of video art, an expressive medium with which the association has been involved ever since it was founded in 2011, thanks to a series of initiatives of screening and video art exhibitions both in Italy and abroad, defining its investigation of this particular area of artistic creation as one of the most significant.
