AlbumArte supports the fundraising campaign promoted by Lo schermo dell’arte, ARTISTS’ FILM RECOVERY FUND, that is going to fund the work of young artists under 35 born or living in Italy, confirming AlbumArte deep interest in video art, an expressive medium with which it has been involved since its beginnings, continuing to explore this area as one of the characteristics of its research programme through AlbumArte | VideoArtForum and renewing the constant support for young artists.

The campaign, open on the GoFundMe platform until June 15th 2020, will be followed by the publication of a public call to fund one or more projects selected by a jury made up of Leonardo Bigazzi, Lucrezia Calabrò Visconti, Sarah Cosulich, Lorenzo Giusti and Andrea Lissoni.
An edition of each one of the video works produced will be donated to the permanent collection of the GAMeC – Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Bergamo, an institution based in the Italian territory most affected by the emergency caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Lo schermo dell’arte Film Festival is an international project dedicated to exploring and promoting the relationship between contemporary art and cinema through the presentation of films and installations, training projects, residences for international artists, production and distribution of artist films. Born in Florence in 2008 and over the years it has collaborated with numerous Italian and foreign institutions, art centers, academies and universities, becoming the most significant video and film artist festival.
