A roundtable without a table, within Chiara Mu’s project “From Here to Eternity”

In order to promote and support the crowd funding campaign based on the project “From Here to Eternity” by Chiara Mu – which will open Wednesday, February 18^th, 2015 – AlbumArte is pleased to invite you to the conversation that the artist will hold with experts of performance art on Wednesday, January 28^th at 6:30 p.m. .

The theme proposed by the artist intends to reflect on the paradoxical nature of the categories of time and space when these are displayed as collectable artworks. We consider the performative experience as a not reproducible one and so far not subjugated to the market’s laws. But, it is really like this?

The proposal of the crowd funding campaign called “Exercises in Vision”, ongoing on the international platform Indiegogo until February 16^th, 2015, and an organic part of the exhibition “From Here to Eternity”, is in fact for Chiara Mu a way to recognize an economic dignity of some kind to performance art, intended here as a relational and live practice in the realm of contemporary visual art.

The artist and the curator of the exhibition Maria Rosa Sossai will lead the conversation with the following speakers: Daniela Bigi – Co-editor of “Arte e Critica”, Gianluca Brogna – Art critic and independent curator, Pietro Gaglianò – Art critic; Anna Mattirolo – Director of MAXXI Arte; Massimo Mininni – Curator of GNAM; Grumo Piacentini – Artist; Daniela Trincia – Art journalist; Alessandra Troncone – Art critic and curator; Raffaella Sciarretta – Art collector.
