Marinella Senatore wins the MAXXI prize 2014 with her installation-event summed up by the title “The School of Dance Narrative – Rome”, one hour of performance with dances, choirs,  gymnastics, bands, jugglers, street performers, directed by her magical art.

In 2013 Marinella Senatore founded The School of Narrative Dance: a nomadic, not building-based and free of charge school, which proposes an alternative system of education, based on emancipation, inclusion, self cultivation. Because of its connotation „not building based“, the school appears like different installation forms depending on the spaces that temporarily occupies. The multidisciplinary school, is focused on storytelling, and provides a wide range “experiences” and lessons, including literature, oral history, carpentry, art history, crafts, photography, arithmetic, drama, theater dance, etc. and can unite many groups and communities in order to celebrate the wide variety of skills and talents every single member can offer or develops. The School involved thousands of people in over 7 countries so far, including political activists, craft people, illiterates, students, housewives, worker unions, retires, teachers.
