Alessandro Giannì was born in Rome in 1989, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. From 2013 to 2019 he has exhibited in various institutions in Italy and abroad including: MAXXI Museum (Rome) MACRO Museum (Rome), La Casa delle Armi (Rome), Swiss Institute (Rome), Swiss Institute (Milan), Museo D’Inverno (Siena), Biennale del Cinema di Venezia (Venice), Kühlhaus Berlin (Berlin); The American University Katzen Arts Center (Washington DC); Villa Firenze, the residence of the Italian Ambassador in USA (Washington DC). In 2014 he participated to the ÑEWPRESSIONISM movement founded by the Greek artist Miltos Manetas which included among the artists: Jon Raffman, Amalia Ulman, Petra Coltright, Robert Montgomery, Harm van den Dorpel, Sylvie Fleury, Olivier Mosset. In 2015 he curated a series of independent exhibitions together with other Roman artists of his generation in Rome, inside the halls of the Città dell’Altra Economia. In 2016, he participated as an art director in the “EGH” project by Enrico Ghezzi and Emiliano Montanari. In this case, some of his works were installed at the 73rd Venice Film Festival. L’apocalisse dell’ora, AlbumArte, Rome, is her latest solo exhibition, curated by Lorenzo Gigotti.
