Benedetta Casini (Bologna, 1991), award-winning curator and researcher, has been a member of the curatorial council of BIENALSUR – Bienal Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo del Sur, based in Buenos Aires, since 2017. In November 2023, she co-founded the independent space OROProject in Rome with artist Matias Ercole, dedicated to promoting artistic projects that connect Europe and Latin America. In 2024, she was awarded the WONDERFUL! Art Research Program 2024 1st edition, promoted by the Museo Novecento in Florence, and the International Curatorial Residency Programme at SAC-Sant Andreu Contemporani (Barcelona). In 2022, she received the Lucio Fontana. Periodo Argentino Research Grant, promoted by the Lucio Fontana Foundation (Milan) and the Giorgio Cini Foundation (Venice). She has collaborated with institutions such as the Madre – Museum of Contemporary Art Donnaregina in Naples, the CCK – Centro Cultural Kirchner in Buenos Aires, the MACBA – Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona, the MAXXI – National Museum of 21st Century Arts in Rome, and the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome. Her work includes collaborations with artists like Jordi Colomer, Elena Mazzi, Daniela Comani, Antoni Muntadas, Joan Fontcuberta, Marta Minujín, and Teresa Margolles.
