Gabi Scardi is a curator, writer and professor. Her research is chiefly focused on the latest tendencies in artistic practice.
She has a strong interest in multidisciplinary practices, particularly those that include an intersection between visual art and architecture, design, urban culture.

In 2007-2009 she co-curated CECAC (European Course for Contemporary Art Curators). Between 2007-2010 she collaborated with the MAXXI (National Museum of XXI Century Arts) in Rome. From 2005 to 2009 she was the Contemporary Art Advisor to the Province of Milan. She headed the Archivio degli Artisti C/O Careof-Viafarini, Milan.
She curated several public and intercultural artistic projects and she collaborated at several european projects.
She teaches modules on Contemporary Art and Public Art at: IULM, Libera Univesità di Lingue e Comunicazione, Milan; Domus Academy, Milan; Università Cattolica, Milan; University of Milan Bicocca; IED, Milan; Modena Photography Foundation, Modena.
She also a writers, having contributed reviews and features extensively to many publications and exhibition catalogues. She edited several books and catalogues. She recently published the book Landscape with figure, art, public sphere, social transformation, ed. Allemandi (2011)
She has been Visiting Lecturer in Universities and curatorial studies.
