Maria Giovanna Sodero (1991, San Donà di Piave) lives and works between Salento, Rome and Venice. In 2011 she began her studies at the IUAV, Visual Arts, with Mario Airò. She is currently studying at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma. In 2018 she attended the “AtWork” traveling educational format organized by the Moleskine Foundation and Simon Njiami. In 2014 she attended a Master in Digital Photography at the Filmosofia school, Granada, Spain. From 2011 to 2014 she participates in the arts festivals in Giudecca, Venice. In 2018 she exhibited the photographic project “Io ti vedo” in “Pulsazioni”, Pavilion 9, Ex Mattatoio, an exhibition organized by the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma. In 2020 she is among the ten finalists of the open call for video, “Taci. Anzi, parla”, organized by the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, Rome.
