Romina Bassu was born in Rome in 1982, where she currently lives and works. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome and at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Seville. She developed her artistic path in London, Berlin and throughout Spain. Over the years her research has increasingly focused on the representation of femininity stereotypes, modelled strictly on a male-centric culture necessity. Her distinctive touch lies in an ironic and irreverent depiction.
