On Thursday 16 January 2025, at 6 p.m., Mucho Mas!, Artist – run Space in Turin, and AlbumArte, an independent artistic production centre in Rome, present the meeting When in Rome. Beyond the boundaries of the skin as part of the travel project When in Rome, curated by Adriana Polveroni, produced by AlbumArte, under the direction of Cristina Cobianchi and financed by Regione Lazio through the public notice Lazio Contemporaneo 2022.
In dialogue with Silvia Mangosio and Luca Vianello, founders of Mucho Mas!, Cosimo Veneziano, an artist based in Turin who has worked in the past with AlbumArte, Adriana Polveroni curator of the project, Verdiana Bove and Caterina Sammartino two of the protagonists of the exhibition of the same name in Rome from 18 November 2024 to 4 January 2025 and in Bologna at Adiacenze, an exhibition space dedicated to emerging art and the investigation of the contemporary in all its forms, from 9 to 23 January 2025 and Cristina Cobianchi founder of AlbumArte and director of the project.
The theme of the talk and the exhibition are the results of the research conducted by Cristina Cobianchi and Adriana Polveroni on the young talents under 35 working in Rome, especially in work spaces founded and managed with equally young curators in peripheral areas, in disused factories, former workshops or old garages, disused craft workshops, and who are changing the fabric and artistic ferment of the Capital with their open research into the present and dialogue with many voices. The project starts in the Capital and then seeks out, interrogates other places, becoming periphery and skin, distance and contact.
