Nato nel 1985 a Diyarbakir Vive e lavora ad Istanbul.
Lureato presso il Marmara University’s Painting Department nel 2007, Ögüt fa la sua prima mostra personale “Speeding Up Domestic Life” curata da Kristina Kramer & Anna Heidenhain a Istanbul nel 2008. È stato selezionato per la residenza d’artista di Willa Waldberta a Monaco di Baviera (luglio agosto 2010).
